800 Keys, 180 Miles, 42 Bridges.
The Florida Keys just hit different.
There’s something in the air when you get to the Keys. The salt air, the abundance of margaritas, the lack of shoes. Time seems to slow down and you enter what is known as “vacation mode”. Maybe you’re coming to the Keys to attempt a voyage out to Dry Tortugas National Park. Maybe you’re heading south to aimlessly chase the wind as you bob in and out of crystal clear water. No matter what brings you to the Florida Keys, you’ll never be the same after.
Captain Michael has navigated the Straights of Florida from the Southernmost point of Key West up the Keys. This body of water is protected by a living coral reef seven miles off of the shore. It also offers a multitude of opportunities to tuck into harbors for an overnight anchorage. He has also explored the Gulf of Mexico to the west of Key West. This area offers a truly secluded experience that will test your sailing abilities. Luckily, having Captain Michael around means your provisioning can be fully taken care of!
